Introduction:
The course provides insights into the Malaysian Land Law system which is modeled using the Torrens system where registration of dealings or transactions over land is the cardinal principle for securing property rights. It discusses major characteristics and general features of Malaysian land law and its developments by a brief account of the historical development of the evolution of the system. The main characteristics and general features of the Torrens System as applicable in Malaysia and its administration and implementation as regulated by the provisions of the National Land Code, related law, and decided cases.
